Portland Pozzolanic cement
The Portland Pozzolanic Cement is a kind of Blended Cement which is produced by either inter-grinding of OPC clinker along with gypsum and pozzolanic materials in certain proportions or grinding the OPC clinker, gypsum and Pozzolanic materials separately and thoroughly blending them in certain proportions.
The Portland Pozzolanic Cement is ideal for general construction which does not require high early strength. Commonly, it is ideally suited for constructions such as hydraulic structures, mass concreting works, marine structures, masonry mortars and plastering, under aggressive conditions, and all other applications where Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is used.
In terms of compressive strength, this type is categorized as CEM II/ AP 32.5R according to European standards.
Main Features:
-
High resistance against chemical solutions and rusting environments consisting sulfate and chloride
-
Suitable for high volume concrete works such as dams due to lower hydration temperature
-
Lower concrete permeability and preventing it from nitrates and shades
-
It decreases the expansion in concrete caused by reaction of concrete aggregates with cement alkali, hence reducing the cracks.
-
Generally, compressive strength growth is slow in early days of concreting, therefore it needs more time for the casts to be dismantled. But, with suitable compressive strength of PPC made in MOMTAZAN, there is no need for such delays.
-
Suitable for ordinary brick-laying works
